This Project calls for plans to improve the landscape, install lighting and plantings, and repair the headstones, monuments and walkways so people can pass gracefully and serenely through the cemetery. This will restore a sense of order and create a welcoming, green environment. The original caretaker’s cottage will be preserved and re-used as a museum, interpretive center, and administrative office. Plans also call for re-establishing a boulevard-like streetscape to nearby avenues to make the cemetery a vibrant part of an expanded historic district.
